UA Hosts IP Law Symposium on March 15

Akron, Ohio, March 1, 2004 — Reform of our nation's patent system and willful patent infringement are two of the featured topics that will be highlighted at the Sixth Annual Richard C. Sughrue Symposium on Intellectual Property Law and Policy hosted by The University of Akron School of Law's Center for Intellectual Property Law and Technology.

The daylong symposium, sponsored by Sughrue Mion PLLC, a Washington–based IP law firm, will be held on March 15 at The John S. Knight Center, 77 E. Mill St.

This year's conference will focus on new developments in the courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the Federal Trade Commission that are likely to have a significant impact on the practice of intellectual property law.
