UA Law Student Named Best Advocate in National Mock Trial Team Competition
Akron, Ohio, March 23, 2004 — Stephanie Adams, a second-year student at The University of Akron School of Law and a resident of Cleveland, was named Best Advocate in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial National Competition, held March 17-20 in Boston, Mass. The four-member UA mock trial team placed fourth in the competition, which is sponsored by the National Black Law Students Association. Twelve teams competed nationally after advancing from one of six regional competitions. Other UA team members include Dierdra Howard of Shaker Heights, Tenille Jones of Cleveland Heights, and Kandee Robinson of Akron. The team was coached by J.
