Criminal Law and Procedure Expert to Speak at UA

Akron, Ohio, March 24, 2004 — Joshua Dressler, one of the nation's foremost scholars in the fields of criminal law and procedure, will speak at The University of Akron School of Law on April 1.

The presentation, “The Wisdom and Morality of Present-Day Criminal Sentencing,” will take place at 3 p.m. in the McDowell Law Center Room 151, located at the corner of Wolf Ledges and University Avenue. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Dressler is the Frank R. Strong Chair in Law at The Ohio State University College of Law. He is the author of three books — “Understanding Criminal Law,” “Understanding Criminal Procedure,” and “Cases and Materials on Criminal Law” — and numerous scholarly articles published in major law journals in the U.S. and England.
