Business Students Honored at Beta Gamma Sigma Ceremony
Akron, Ohio, April 26, 2004 — Sixty-nine students in The University of Akron's College of Business Administration (CBA) were honored recently as the college held its annual Beta Gamma Sigma initiation and banquet at the University's Student Union Ballroom. Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student can receive in an undergraduate or master's program at a school accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The mission of Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, and personal and professional excellence in the practice of business. To be eligible for membership, students must place in the upper 7 percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class or upper 20 percent of the master's degree class.
