Whitby Hall Rehabilitation
Late in 2001, rehabilitation began on 36,314 square feet in the portion of Whitby Hall devoted to the Department of Chemical Engineering and classrooms. The interior space was reconfigured to maximize and update space for faculty research labs, labs for undergraduates, study areas and faculty, staff and graduate student offices. The mechanical, plumbing, electrical and telecommunications systems were updated as well.
The project, designed by Michael DiMaio & Associates Architects of Akron, was completed in January 2004.
