Funding to acquire LEED certification was provided by a $1 million gift from First Energy Corporation. LEED-certified buildings are designed to:

• Increase asset value
• Reduce waste sent to landfills
• Conserve energy and water
• Healthier and safer for occupants
• Reduce harmful greenhouse emissions
• Qualify for tax rebates, zoning allowances and incentives, locally and regionally
