What is Akron Adventures?

Akron Adventures is a great way to meet other new students and talk about your expectations for college. All Akron Adventures will give you a chance to:

• Participate in small group interaction activities
• Gain leadership and team building skills
• Challenge yourself
• Get to know upper-class students and campus administrators

Zipline Canopy Tour

Fast, fun, and exhilarating, this spectacular adventure offers nature lovers and thrill seekers alike the unique opportunity to zip through the treetops on a network of cables and adventure sky bridges suspended high above the forest floor, overlooking a cave, rock cliffs, the Hocking River, and other nature wonders.

River Rafting Adventure

July 27-29
Fee: $129

Deadline to Register: July 6, 2012

Look forward to an exciting adventure on the rapids of the New River Gorge. Experienced guides help you navigate the Class IV rapids. Enjoy camping in tents and campfire conversations with your fellow Zips. You’ll learn better communication, cooperation and leadership skills to help you make the transition to college life.

Transportation

Students participating in the Akron Adventures trips will meet at The University of Akron campus and depart to the Adventures site as a group. Directions to the meeting point on campus and a campus parking permit will be sent with your confirmation materials after you register for your Adventure.
