Post-secondary Students

Post-secondary students typically attend orientation in May, June, July, or August prior to the start of fall classes. Spring admits typically attend in December or January prior to the start of January classes. Orientations are filled on a first come first serve basis after the intent to enroll fee is paid.

E-enrollment packets are emailed to students in their families once it is time to assign orientation dates. Make sure you review the e-enrollment packet for the date and time of your orientation.

Academic Advising

At Orientation, you'll have a chance to meet with an adviser to talk about your class schedule and joining an academic community. Before advising, there are a few things you must do:

Step 1Complete the pre-advising worksheet at least one week before your scheduled orientation

  • The pre-advising worksheet is used by your academic adviser to help you schedule classes.
  • You will need your UAnet ID and password to log in. Your UAnet ID and password were sent to you by the Office of Admissions. If you have forgotten your password, call 330-972-6888.

Step 2Take placement tests, if required at least one week before your scheduled orientation.

Your e-enrollment packet will list any testing that you would be required to take.

  • The testing tests could be math, writing, or reading.
  • If you have a question feel free to contact The Office of New Student Orientation at 330-972-2622.
