Public Notice of CCNE Accreditation Visit: The University of Akron, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program
CCNE On-Site Accreditation: October 20-22, 2014
The University of Akron is seeking accreditation of our post-master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Accreditation (CCNE).
The CCNE site visitors will be on campus from: October 20-22, 2014. In the interest of continuous quality improvement and as required by CCNE, we would appreciate the written input of all interested parties.
In accordance with the CCNE Procedures for Accreditation of Post-Master’s DNP Programs, the Commission provides the opportunity for program constituents and CCNE constituencies to submit, in writing, third-party comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation status. Third-party comments must be received at the CCNE offices by September 20, 2014. Third-party comments must be signed and must be related to the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs (amended 2013). Comments are shared only with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to review the noted DNP program.
