National Volunteer Week is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. It’s about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.

The UA community is welcome to participate in drop-in service projects in the Student Union as well as off-campus experiences with the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank, the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition, and the Boys & Girls Club of the Western Reserve. The second annual Cuts for Cause, a hair donation event benefitting the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program will help to create wigs for cancer patients. A clothing donation drive being held throughout the week will provide items to victims of sexual assault.
