(8) Reappointment, tenure, and promotion committees must contain a quorum in order to conduct business. For the purposes of reappointment, tenure, and promotion of regular faculty, a quorum is defined as two-thirds of the eligible members. In the case where there are fewer than six eligible members, a quorum is defined to be at least three members. The college faculty shall formulate rules to add committee members from outside the academic unit if there are fewer than three eligible faculty members in the academic unit to form the committee. These rules shall be included in the procedures of the college or school. Back to overview.
