The University of Akron is proud to host the Ohio Higher Education Computing Council (OHECC) 2010 Conference. OHECC 2010 will be held on our campus May 12-14, 2010. Pre-conference special events will start Wednesday morning and the full conference will begin with lunch that day at 11:30am. Conference events will be held at The University of Akron Student Union.

Higher education in Ohio and our nation is undergoing tremendous change as we grapple with issues of funding, the changing needs of our students, conversion of many schools from quarters to semesters and the creation of the new University System of Ohio. With these changes in mind, our 2010 theme will be "Technology Without Boundaries." Please join us to discuss how these challenges impact information technology organizations on our campuses and how we can bring our unique skills and perspectives to enhance higher education in Ohio.

OHECC is being planned by a multi-university committee and will bring together more than 200 professionals from Ohio’s premier higher education institutions. From managers to customers, all higher education employees from four-year and two-year schools involved with any aspect of Information Technology are welcome to attend OHECC 2010.

OHECC 2010 is also made possible by the generous contributions of our sponsors. Sponsors are an integral part of the conference and will be included in the vendor display area and with select vendor-school joint presentations during the conference. The vendor display area will be open throughout the day Thursday, May 13th.
