Every year, The University of Akron welcomes more than 1,000 international students and scholars to our campus. This year, students and scholars from 90 countries are part of the Akron family.

On these pages, you will learn about how to apply to UA. We have information here for undergraduate students, graduate students and students interested in either our English Language Institute or the School of Law.

International students admitted for online programs are not qualified for students visas. OIP will not issue immigration documents to international student who are admitted into the following online programs.

Our team in the Office of International Programs understands that international students are seeking a valuable education and a meaningful cultural experience. We are here to answer your questions and help you become acquainted with our numerous academic, cultural and social programs.

Students may pursue studies during the fall semester (beginning in late August), the spring semester (mid-January) or the summer sessions (May, June, July).
