UA-sponsored bilateral exchanges

 

All instruction at Exchange University sites are delivered in a traditional face-to-face mode of delivery

Academic Credit Toward Degree: When a UA student attends one of UA’s exchange schools they attend as a full-time UA student (minimum 12 credits). UA students are eligible to take a variety of courses at Exchange Universities depending on their particular academic program of study at UA. All courses taken at Exchange Universities should be approved by the student's College Dean's office or his or her Academic Advising office for transfer to UA before departure for the Exchange University. UA faculty-led and departmental programs

Below is a list of faculty-led and departmental programs that are currently available or have run in the past. Students should always consult the appropriate contact person to verify requirements and procedures associated with participation in these programs.

Affiliated Third-Party Program providers

All instruction at Third-Party Providers Programs are Delivered in a Traditional Face-to-Face Mode of Delivery.

  5. Third Party Provider Insurance

Estimated Additional Costs for Third-Party Program Providers:

  1. UA Travel Insurance – Mandatory
  2. Personal items such as toiletries, laundry, excursions, souvenirs

If students cannot find UA-sponsored programs that suit them, third-party programs are another option. While there are many possibilities, the list below is made up of organizations with which UA has concluded an Affiliation Agreement. These agreements provide some modest financial benefits to UA students, including waived application fees and/or modestly reduced program fees. In almost all cases, affiliation provides UA students access to provider-administered scholarships they would not otherwise have.

International internships & service learning

Potential estimated costs for International Internships and Services Learning are dependent upon program, but may include:

  3. UA Travel Insurance – Mandatory
  4. Personal items such as toiletries, laundry, excursions, souvenirs

International internships and service learning programs offer students the opportunity to obtain international experience and work and/or volunteer experience simultaneously. Below are options through UA departments, affiliated providers and a special program through the German government for students in the sciences and engineering.

Research abroad programs

The programs below offer students opportunities to conduct and/or take part in research projects abroad.

The two programs listed below offer fully-funded opportunities to study languages deemed critical to US interests by the US government during the summer.
