Seoul has been a capital city since 1394, when it was named the capital of the Cho-son Dynasty. The city is ideally located between mountains and along the Han-gang River, and is home to one quarter of the nation’s population. 

One of South Korea’s oldest and most prestigious universities, Yonsei University was founded in 1885 by Christian missionaries. The main campus is located in a picturesque and natural setting in the heart of Seoul. The University is minutes away from the business district, national historical landmarks, and cultural hot spots.
