Each participating institution should develop a timely process for receiving and making nominations. It is suggested that department chairs and deans recommend faculty members to their provosts for nomination to the Ohio Leadership Academy. Also, interested individual faculty members may (on their own initiative) consult with their chairs, deans or provosts regarding nomination.
The provost of each of the participating institutions selects and approves candidates of OLA. Therefore, successful candidates will hear directly from their provosts or vice president of academic affairs about their participation.
The provosts of participating institutions will forward the names and contact information of approved candidates to the program administrator, Dr. Cynthia Capers (email@example.com).
Nominated fellows will be contacted by the program administrator with details about submitting required materials. This includes accessing the application form on the website to submit general demographic information, curriculum vita, and personal goals for the leadership program. In consultation with nominees, site placements will be made at the beginning of the spring term. Placements are dependent on site availability and accessibility. Mentors will be selected for each fellow with notifications to follow later in the spring term.
Placement will be based on goals and site availability/accessibility.
