The Office of Multicultural Development provides a variety of academic programs and services to support the University's goal of recruiting and retaining multicultural students. The department assists students in their adjustment to University life by encouraging them to achieve their personal, academic and career goals.
H.A.L.O. is a registered student organization of The University of Akron that promotes friendship between Hispanics, Spanish-speaking university students, and university students in general. At our biweekly meetings, which are held in both Spanish and English, we offer Latin dance lessons and show interesting movies from Latin America and Spain. We also sponsor fun outings and trips. H.A.L.O. is a great place to meet new friends, practice you Spanish and broaden your worldview.
All diverse students are welcome to join!
For more information about H.A.L.O. please email halo@uakron.edu
All events are free and open to UA students, faculty and staff with a valid zipcard
