The UA Experience!

Online courses at The University of Akron begin and end on the semester schedule and assignments and tests have specific deadlines. Although you do not have to travel to campus to attend courses, you must log in often to stay on track with due dates and to successfully complete each course.

Delivered completely online via Springboard, you will find that online courses deliver the same quality content as face-to-face courses while using technologically advanced methods and providing a high level of interaction with your instructor and classmates.

Orientation for Online Learners - Diving Into Online Learning!

This orientation is designed to look just like an online course you may take in the future. You will find many useful topics geared towards helping you understand what it means to be an online student. Read through the information and take the quizzes to find out if online learning is right for you.

The Diving Into Springboard orientation should take between 30 min. - 60 min. to complete.

1. Log in to Springboard: Go to https://springboard.uakron.edu/and log in to Springboard as a guest. Use the following username and password:
   • sbguest (username)
   • sbguest (password)
   
2. Enter the Classroom: When logged in to Springboard, look at the center of the page for the box titled My Springboard - The University of Akron Courses and click on Diving Into Online Learning.
   
3. Navigate: You have now entered the orientation classroom. Familiarize yourself with the environment by using the buttons below the Springboard! logo to navigate throughout the classroom.
4. Complete the orientation : Click on the Content tab and choose the Welcome link to begin the orientation.
