The Vision of Leadership

Vision is:

• The purposeful creation of an organization which expresses our deepest values about family, achievement, community and value of work.
• Transforms momentary strategies into a way of life.
• Is always about greatness.
• Expresses our value and hopes about what we contribute.

Vision is Choice:

• Vision is not logic. Vision is the passion to move forward for a greater good than self.
• Vision is not reasonable.
• Vision always asks more of us than is reasonable.
• Our highest ideals --- a walking dream.

Vision is Choice:

• Vision is created, crafted, molded by those who have bought into the "partnership" of the dream.
• Vision will always step out from the ordinary --- always set us apart from the crowd.
• Calls for the highest level of leadership - the empowerment of people. The capacity for creation.

Vision is Choice:

• The act of creating and communicating a vision is the true act of leadership.
• Gains its power from the multiplied effect of human minds.
• Is the creation of our own destiny or the choice to live out someone else's creation.
• On-going process.

Vision is Choice:

• Vision is about greatness of an organization, of adding value, empowering others and creation of intellectual wealth in the process.
• Vision is always about others - never self, always idealistic.
• It is an expression of our spiritual and realistic view of the world which allow us to tap into the passion.

The Promise of Vision

In our current market driven knowledge based world, success is a function of great ideas from intelligent, energized, committed people.
