Biography

Holly Harris Bane is the associate vice president for strategic initiatives and partnerships at The University of Akron.

Prior to assuming her current post, Harris Bane served as the director of strategic initiatives from 2001-2006, where she was responsible for seeking opportunities for external engagement that aligned with the University's academic programs. In addition, she served in the Office of the Governor and the Ohio Department of Education from 1999-2001 and as the assistant director of the Ray C. Bliss Institute for Applied Politics from 1989-1999.

Harris Bane received an M.A. from The University of Akron in political science, an M.A. in administration in higher education from The Ohio State University, and has pursued Ph.D. work in Russian history from UA.
