The University of Akron is a university with a great tradition of industry and of innovation. We are called to use these strengths at a time when disruptive forces are impacting all of higher education. The year ahead will be one in which we face many challenges, and our responses must be nimble to ensure that our students continue to receive the very best education we can provide.
I invite you to read my plans for the coming year in The Future State of Academic Affairs at The University of Akron. Our university is a distinctive voice in higher education, and our collective wisdom will enable us to focus on achieving the aspirations we have set for ourselves. I look forward to the transformational changes we will make together to provide our students and our region with outstanding educational opportunities.
