The General Education Revision Committee report to the Faculty Senate is now posted on the General Education Revision website.  The report details the Committee’s draft proposal for a new General Education curriculum and it is based on:

• Campus feedback obtained through college visits during the spring 2012 semester
• Best practices
• New and innovative general education models in higher education
• UA’s strategic plan, Vision 2020
• The intended reduction of minimum credit hours for a baccalaureate degree from 128 to 120

In the report, the General Education curriculum is defined in terms of learning outcomes and suggested credit hour distributions.  Additional information regarding assessment and implementation is included as well.  Please visit the General Education Revision website for all related documents, including:

• A one page summary of the recommendations
• A comparison of UA’s current General Education model and the proposed General Education model
