Student employment opportunities and RecWorks
Thank you for your interest in joining The University of Akron Student Recreation and Wellness Services (SRWS) team. In order to apply for a position with SRWS, you must first attend a RecWorks information session. The RecWorks session is the first step in learning about student employment opportunities with SRWS, following the information session you will be provided with an application for employment. Registration is required, registration information will be listed below when there are scheduled sessions.
Please note, only full-time students are eligible for employment, you must be registered for 12 undergraduate credit hours or 9 graduate credit hours to be eligible for student employment. Exceptions are permitted during Summer Semester only.
The Fall 2017 RecWorks Sessions are full, please check back in late September/October for future sessions.
Interested in working in a Recreation Facility? At SRWS we strive to give interns a well-rounded internship experience to prepare them for their next professional steps. Internships typically include a major assignment to one of our program areas, with supplemental duties in supporting areas of interest. We work with each individual intern candidate to coordinate their experience with existing requirements and standards of their program. SRWS Internship opportunities are unpaid.
