Dress code

Appropriate attire, as established by SRWS, is required while using any of the SRWS facilities. Attire that is inappropriate or causes a safety issue is prohibited and patrons will be asked to adjust and/or change attire. Clothing must be safe and appropriate for the activity(s) in which you will be participating. In addition to transparent or sheet clothing being prohibited, area specific requirements are below.

Strength and cardiovascular areas

  • Sleeved shirts that cover back and stomach are required. Tanks tops, sleeveless shirts, altered shirts (cut-off, tied up, rolled sleeves, etc.) or sports bras are not permitted.
  • Athletic shorts or pants must cover the gluteal fold through the full range of motion.
  • Jeans or cargo pants/shorts are prohibited.
  • Clean closed-toed athletic footwear is required. All footwear must be dry and free of dirt and snow before participating; bringing a second pair of athletic shoes is strongly recommended. Shoes must have non-marking soles. Flip-flops and “Croc” type shoes are prohibited.

Group exercise studios

  • Full-backed shirts, tank tops, sports bras, athletic shorts/pants are allowed. Altered shirts are prohibited.
  • Jeans or cargo pants/shorts are prohibited.
  • Clean closed-toe athletic footwear is required. All footwear must be dry and free of dirt and snow before participating. Shoes must have non-marking soles. Boots, flip-flops, “Croc” type shoes, and aqua shoes are prohibited.
  • Mind body classes (e.g., yoga, Pilates, T’ai Chi) may be performed without shoes with instructor permission and while using a personal exercise mat.

Climbing wall

  • Clean, appropriate footwear is required when climbing. Provided climbing shoes must be worn with socks.
  • Bare feet are not allowed.
  • Skirts and dresses are not permitted.
  • It is highly recommended that patrons remove all jewelry.

Track

  • Full-backed shirts or tank tops that cover back and stomach are required. Altered shirts or sport bras are prohibited.
  • When using stretching areas, a barrier is recommended between you and the mat (e.g. shirt, towel, etc.).
  • Clean closed-toed athletic footwear is required. All footwear must be dry and free of dirt and snow before participating; bringing a second pair of athletic shoes is strongly recommended. Shoes must have non-marking soles.
  • Walking or running in spiked shoes, socks, or bare feet is prohibited.

Gymnasiums and racquetball courts

  • Full-backed shirts or tank tops that cover back and stomach are required. Altered shirts are prohibited.
  • Clean closed-toed athletic footwear is required. All footwear must be dry and free of dirt and snow before participating; bringing a second pair of athletic shoes is strongly recommended. Shoes must have non-marking soles. Boots, flip-flops, “Croc” type shoes, or bare feet are prohibited.

Pool and aquatic areas

  • Proper swimming attire must be worn. Cut–off's are prohibited.
  • Pool users are not permitted in any other SRWC activity area in swim attire or bare feet. Proper attire and footwear must be worn outside pool areas.
