Guest passes

Current SRWS members—including University of Akron students who have paid the appropriate fees, staff, faculty, alumni, spouse members, and community membersmay sponsor a guest subject to the following guidelines:

  • The sponsor or guest must purchase a SRWS guest pass from the Information Office or at the ONAT front desk for a non-refundable fee of $10.
  • A valid Zip Card or SRWS membership card is required by the member sponsor at the time of purchase.
  • The Guest must present proper photo identification (government issued ID), be at least eighteen (18) years old, fill out the required paperwork, and have their picture taken.
  • Guest passes are valid only on the date shown and passes may not be altered in any way.
  • The SRWS member must accompany their sponsored guest(s) at all times, and both parties are responsible for compliance with building regulations.
  • The guest is required to carry his/her guest pass and present it to building personnel upon request.
  • The sponsor may host up to three (3) guests per day.
  • A guest cannot sponsor another guest.
  • A guest cannot check out SRWS equipment.
  • Guests providing false information will be asked to leave the facility and subject to loss of guest privileges.

  • The sponsor or guest must purchase a SRWS pool-only guest pass from the Information Office or at the ONAT front desk for a non-refundable fee of $4.
  • A valid Zip Card or SRWS membership card is required by the member sponsor at the time of purchase.
  • The Guest must present proper photo identification (government issued ID), fill out the required paperwork, and have their picture taken.
  • Any child under 3 years of age will not be charged the $4 fee.
  • A parent or guardian is required to be in the water with any guest under 48 inches tall. Lifeguards have the discretionary authority to require an adult to be in the water with any child who is deemed a weak swimmer.
  • Guests who purchase a pool-only pass are only allowed in locker rooms and pool areas during their visit.
  • Guest passes are valid only on the date shown and passes may not be altered in any way.
  • Each pool-only guest must wear a dated wrist band the entire time they use the facility. If found without a wrist band at any time, the guest will immediately be asked to leave the facility and will lose their guest privileges indefinitely.
  • The SRWS member must accompany their sponsored guest(s) at all times, and both parties are responsible for compliance with building regulations.
  • The sponsor may host up to 3 guests per day.
  • A guest cannot sponsor another guest.
  • A guest cannot check out equipment.
  • Guests providing false information will be asked to leave the facility and subject to loss of guest privileges.
  • Pool-only passes will not be available during swim lesson times.

Immediate family may attend any SRWS Intramural or Club Sport event that their child participates in without being assessed a guest fee. However, the family member is required to register as a visitor at the Information Office of the SRWC.

  • The definition of an immediate family member is limited to parents/legal guardians, siblings (those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent), grandparents, and spouses.
  • To gain entry, a spectator must:
    • Have the participating student present with them when registering at the Information Office in the SRWC.
    • Complete the spectator waiver.
    • Present a government issued photo ID at time of registration.
    If parents and/or spouses have any additional non-student children wishing to attend the event, those children must also be present at the time of registration to obtain a wristband. The parent/spouse must complete a waiver for each sibling, and siblings must remain with the parent/guardian at all times.
  • The spectator(s) will be given a dated wristband that they must wear upon entering the facility. SRWS staff will place the wristband on the visitor(s) to ensure it is visible and worn properly. The wristband must be worn at all times while in the facility.
  • Spectators are responsible for reading and abiding by all SRWS policies and procedures (printed and online), signs and warnings, and cooperate fully with the SRWS staff at all times.
  • Spectators are not permitted to use any equipment, participate in any activities, or interrupt any intramural or club sport event. If any of the above circumstances occur, the spectator will be asked to leave the facility.
  • The student participant is allowed to sponsor up to four (4) guests per event.
  • SRWS has the right to limit the number of spectators in an area and/or change the viewing location for safety and facility management purposes. All spectators will be directed to where they can watch the event based on seating availability.
