Official Academic Transcripts

An official academic transcript is a complete record of your academic history at The University of Akron, including all undergraduate, graduate and professional courses.

Important General Information

1. ALL financial obligations with The University of Akron must be reconciled prior to the release of an official academic transcript.

2. If you want your official academic transcript to include the most recent term’s grades, your request will be processed ONE WEEK after final grades are/were due. When reviewing your grades and cumulative totals in ZipLine, it is possible that your cumulative GPA information will change once final grades are posted to your academic transcript and the Office of the University Registrar has finished end-of-term processing (i.e., adjustments to repeated classes and incomplete grades).

3. If you want your official academic transcript to include a recently conferred degree, your request will be processed SIX WEEKS after the commencement ceremony.

4. The Office of the University Registrar promises to process your request free of charge within five business days of receipt. If you need your request processed more quickly, you may choose to pay a nominal SPEEDY fee of $10 per transcript to guarantee same-day processing. Delivery can take up to two weeks depending upon the U. S. Postal Service.

5. An official academic transcript that is mailed to you will be marked ISSUED TO STUDENT. If applicable, please make sure that this is acceptable to the final recipient.
