An undergraduate or postbaccalaureate student who has completed at least 50 percent of the work toward a degree with a 2.30 grade-point average may request permission from an adviser to register for selected courses on a credit/noncredit basis. No more than 16 credits of non-language courses and no more than 20 credits in total, including language courses, may be taken on a credit/noncredit (CR/NC) basis (for an associate degree half this number is permitted). The election to take a course on a CR/NC basis can be made only at the time of registration for that course. A student who elects to take a course on a CR/NC basis cannot withdraw and register to take that course for a letter grade after the first week of that term.
Total information about this option may be secured from an adviser or from the University's
Undergraduate Bulletin.
