How to Apply
All veteran students who wish to receive educational benefits under the GI Bill program must complete a VA Benefits Application Form. It is to your advantage to apply for benefits as early as possible to avoid a delay in your checks.
Chapter 30 (Active and former Active Duty) students need to submit to the Military Services Center office a CERTIFIED Copy of their DD 214 Member Copy 4 (originals are not recommended and copies will not be accepted). Certified copies may be obtained by taking the original to your county records office.

Chapter 31: Please note that Chapter 31 eligibility/application is determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Vocational Rehabilitation Office.
Chapter 1606 and 1607 (Reserve, National Guard) need to submit to the Military Services Center office a copy of their DD 2384 (NOBE) and a CERTIFIED Copy of their DD 214 Member Copy 4 (originals are not recommended and copies will not be accepted). Certified copies may be obtained by taking the original to your county records office.

Dependents applying for Chapter 35 benefits must present a "Certificate of Eligibility" or complete an original application for benefits and provide a copy of their birth certificate or marriage license.
