Check Disbursement
Your GI Bill checks are normally received at the beginning of each month for the previous month. Therefore, the check you receive in October is for the month of September. Chapter 30 and Chapter 1606 veterans may receive their checks later in the month because of the monthly telephonic or on-line verification which must be completed after the last working day of each month before payment is issued. Verification may be accomplished by calling 877.823.2378 or visit the Education Benefits/GI Bill Website.
