All financial obligations to The University of Akron must be reconciled prior to degree candidacy, i.e., commencement program notation, ceremony attendance and degree conferral.

Spring 2013 Graduates:
A final degree audit of your academic record will be conducted prior to degree posting and diploma distribution. If you need an official transcript that includes your recently conferred degree, request it in advance via My Akron. Your official academic transcript request will be fulfilled promptly after your degree is posted. 

Diplomas will be distributed on Thursday, June 6, 2013, from 8:00am to 7:00pm and on Friday, June 7, 2013, from 8:00am to 4:30pm in Simmons Hall 101. Remaining diplomas will be mailed on Monday, June 10, 2013.

Undergraduate Students:
If you are planning to finish all of your undergraduate degree (baccalaureate or associate) requirements at the end of fall 2013, the last day to apply for graduation is Monday, July 1, 2013.

Graduate Students:
If you are planning to finish all of your graduate degree or graduate certificate requirements at the end of summer 2013, the last day to apply for graduation is Saturday, June 1, 2013.
