IRB Meeting Schedule and Application Deadlines
IRB applications may be submitted at any time to the Office of Research Services and Sponsored Programs (+2102). Many IRB applications can be approved through expedited review and will not require a presentation to the full IRB.
Generally, the process for expedited review and approval takes two to three weeks.
The deadline for IRB applications requiring full IRB review is on the Tuesday two weeks prior to the scheduled IRB meeting. The IRB meets monthly from 10:00 a.m. until about noon in the Polsky Building, 5th floor. See the calendar of meeting dates and deadlines below. Unless a special request is made, the IRB does not meet in the summer.

**If you are unsure whether your protocol will require a full board review or an expedited review, you must present your application to the IRB office by the deadline for the upcoming meeting. This rule also applies to applications for continuing review. Applicants should retain a copy for their own records. Deadlines are strictly observed.
