IRB applications may be submitted at any time to the Office of Research Administration (+2102). Many IRB applications can be approved through expedited review and will not require a presentation to the full IRB.
The process for expedited review and approval takes two to three weeks. Generally, the more complete the initial proposal, the less time it takes for approval.
The deadlines for IRB applications requiring full IRB review are listed below. The IRB meets monthly from 10:00 a.m. until about noon in the Polsky Building Suite 284 (Room 285-C). Unless a special request is made, the IRB does not meet in the summer.
