Hop-On Student Venture Fund

Hop-On Student Venture Fund (HOSVF) is a student-run nonprofit Evergreen fund that provides experiential learning to Akron-area graduate students and pre-seed validation to high potential start-ups that benefit the Northeastern Ohio region. Our goal is to create synergistic links between the university, business communities and entrepreneurs to spur education, entrepreneurship and economic development.

HOSVF’s goals are to:

1. Educate students on the entrepreneurial process
2. Provide funding for local entrepreneurs
3. Create an opportunity for organizations, foundations and individuals to participate in the educational process

Hop-on an exciting opportunity! HOSVF conducted a successful round of due diligence in Spring 2009.  To continue validation of the model, HOSVF is assembling a student team for 2009-2010 and raising $100,000 to invest in Northeastern Ohio entrepreneurial ventures.
