Peer Mentors are held by both graduate and undergraduate students. Peer Mentors are members of the Department of Residence Life and Housing and are compensated positions staffed and housed in one of the 16 Living-Learning Communities and strive to work in conjunction with the Resident Assistant residing in the community. For 2012-13, all Living-Learning Communities are located in Spicer Residence Hall, except for French Quarters which will be housed in the Townhouses. As a Peer Mentor, LLC staff is responsible for programming, mentoring and collaborating with an LLC Faculty Advisor specific to the interest group or academic aspiration. The Peer Mentor assists in helping first-year students' transition to college life through social and educational programming. It is the goal of the Living-Learning Community program to provide students a vibrant living experience leading ultimately to student success and engagement at the University. From Outdoor Adventure to ROTC; Business to Pre-Med, there is a Living-Learning Community available to hundreds of students per academic year. Will you be there?!
