Quaker move-in schedule

Your specific move-in time can be found in the My Housing portal in My Akron.

Students will be directed to enter Lot 71 (surface lot) from Summit Street
GPS address: 89-77 S. Summit St, Akron, OH 44308

  • Have your Student ID ready
  • Instructions will be provided
  • Keys will be distributed
  • Move-in parking pass will be provided

From there, driver will enter unloading zone where volunteers will be available to assist.

The driver will be expected to stay in vehicle until unloading is complete. They will then relocate the vehicle to long-term parking.

Suggested routes of travel

  • Follow Route 8 to Buchtel Avenue/Carroll Street.
  • Go west on Buchtel Avenue towards the campus.
  • Stay in the right lane.
  • Turn right on Union St.
  • Turn left on Mill Street.
  • Turn right on Summit St. (immediately after crossing bridge).
  • Turn right into parking surface lot (Lot #70)
  • University Police/Parking attendants will be available to assist with further instructions.

There are constantly changing traffic patterns around the I-76/I-77/Route 8 Central Interchange due to construction. Check the Ohio Department of Transportation website for updates.
