New Resident Information

Welcome to your new home at The University of Akron!

We are delighted that you have chosen to make your home address OUR address. This section of our website has been designed to help you plan and prepare for your arrival on campus.

Room and roommate assignments are made throughout the summer. If you do not request a specific roommate (most students do not), your assignment will be based on the information you provided on the Housing Contract. All students may choose to release their contact information to their roommate(s) or withhold that information until the start of the school year. If your roommate(s) have released their contact information, it will be provided to you in the assignment mailing. You may then choose to contact him/her to decide who will bring a stereo, ironing board, iron, rugs, etc.
