Let the Weekend Begin!
After unloading, taking stuff up to your room and taking care of business with University offices, you've got two more things to do before kicking into your first weekend at the University.
Family Reception -
Each hall will have a Family Reception, in which family members can find out more about your residence hall, it's policies and staff. If your family accompanies you on Move-In Day, suggest they attend this meeting. Times are listed at check-in:
North Quad
Orr Lounge
South Quad
Gallucci Common Room
Floor Meeting -
This is your first chance to meet most if not all, of your closest neighbors for the next several months. Signs with times and locations will be posted on your floor, and your RA will come by your room to remind you of this meeting. Regardless as to whether your floor holds its first meeting before or after dinner, it is very important that you attend this meeting. Many of the key procedures and policies will be reviewed at this time. When the meeting is over, you may return to your room, visit with others or find out more about Welcome Weekend.
