UA continues to closely monitor flu activity on campus and encourages all to take steps to help prevent the spread of the virus.
As of Oct. 18, the University has learned of two confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus. Both students are recovering off campus.
UA’s Student Health Services continues to report elevated rates of people reporting flu-like symptoms for this time of year. This mirrors what the City of Akron Health Department is seeing across the broader community and what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is reporting nationally.

Like any community, UA receives reports of theft from time to time. UA’s police department, which operates 24-7 to protect campus and nearby student neighborhoods, offers these tips to help prevent theft:
