Campus Safety and Security Statistics

The following statistics are compiled from Summit County Sheriff's Department, Akron Police Department and University of Akron Police Department records of the past three calendar years by Terri Charlton, administrative assistant to the chief of police. Please note that revisions to this information are being processed and will be published soon. Note also that UA's Wayne College and its Medina County University Center have no residential housing or non-campus buildings with which it is associated, which is why there is no information published about residential housing or non-campus building statistics.

See the University's annual crime-statistics report for 2008, otherwise known as the Clery Report. On Oct. 1 every year, universities nationwide are required to publish a summary of reported crimes on campus and near campus for the three most recent calendar years.
