Blake Thompson, Senior Electronic Technician, recently published an article in Radio Magazine. A link to the online version is below and the print version will be featured in the July printed edition and will be on the bulletin board outside the main office once it is available.

The articles details the history of WZIP and discusses the recent upgrades to both the radio and television station. These are no small matters as the university invested $175,000 for infrastructure upgrades and Blake has been installing and testing the equipment for some time now. Rick Kent has been involved in the transition too.

In case you did not know, Blake has served as the President of the Society of Broadcast Engineers NE Ohio Chapter for many years and is currently the Chair of the Program Committee and coordinates the meetings of the association.
