I have been working for The University of Akron for over 25 years; starting my employment with the University in 1978 for Information Services. Since April, 2000 I have been working in the department of Human Resources. Some of my job responsibilities include analyzing, designing, programming, coordinate large projects technical and non technical in nature for the HR department and the University, where Human Resources’ is related. I assist employees in Human Resources and the University in software and computer problems. Manage the Human Resources web pages. Basically provide any technical and computer related support to my department and the University. ACHIEVEMENTS In 1978, I graduated from The University of Akron. In the summer of 2004, I was elected to SEAC for a three year term, where I will be a secondary representative to the Well-Being Committee. HOBBIES I enjoy spending my free time at home, following our three teenage sons around at their numerous sports activities. I enjoy volunteering in my community, where I teach PSR, am treasurer of the community Youth Football organization, active in the high school sports booster where I hold various committee chairs, active in the schools Parent Teacher Association where I work with other parents in providing various activities for students and parents. A very important piece of my life is all the people and good friends I have come in contact with at work and in my community. SOMETHING UNIQUE ABOUT MYSELF I really enjoy coming to work. I try each day to learn something new and I want to be a part of continuing to make this University a rewarding place for the students and employees. |
