Organization Project
Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority Design and deliver programs for different populations: elderly, mentally ill, young mothers.  Programs can focus on health, food, exercise, recycling, etc.
Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority Design programs to involve mentally ill young adults in leadership development initiatives. Other activities also welcome.
Akron Racers Develop grant proposals, promotional materials to support Akron Racers Fastpitch team
ASIA, Inc. Develop and provide activities for pre-school age children who do not speak English. Parents are on site in workshops or classes.
Cascade Locks Park Association Produce and possibly film a production on the history of Howard Street. Script already exists
Cascade Locks Park Association Using material from 1913 Flood, develop interactive learning program

Crown Point - Ecology Center Survey local farm and create an inventory map of the native wildflowers, grasses, and edible plants  for wildflower walks.
EDGE Program (EACH) Provide mentoring/discussions to  high school students with potential barriers to success.

         Youth development organization with after-school services for school aged at risk kids.

         Preserving, protecting, and promoting, the heritage of the Cascade Locks Park & The Erie Canal.

Catholic Charities Community Services Summit County
         Versatile services for youth, developmentally disabled, and the elderly which include food distribution, counseling, and adaptations for people with disabilities.

         Administers counseling and provides education, support, and resources for children with mental disorders through community agencies, schools and families.

         Helps eliminate discrimination in  housing, while promoting community involvement, providing  education, and performing research involving affirmative action.

Greenleaf Family Center 

         Strengthens families in our community through counseling, education, and support.

Hattie Larlham 

         Hattie Larlham is a nonprofit organization that provides services to more than 1,500 children and adults with developmental disabilities.

         Provides food, shelter, clothing and recovery programs for homeless men and women.

         Connects people who need community services to local resources.

International Institute of Akron

         Creating and implementing  services to assist the foreign born to integrate into our society, to promote public awareness of the value of ethnic diversity, and to encourage international communication.

         Develops and implements public education and community improvement programs on litter prevention, recycling, waste management and beautification for the City of Akron.

Youthbuild

         Offers low-income people, ages 18-24, hands-on home construction training, education and leadership skills/life skills while they work toward their GED or high school diploma.
