A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities.” - William Arthur Ward
I completed a BS degree in Exercise Science from Youngstown State University, where I concentrated my studies on health, wellness, and therapeutic recreation. I had one of the most rewarding experiences of my life during my internship, which was spent in Clearwater, Florida. There, I developed a Special Olympics swim team program, working with extremely devoted volunteers from the community to create a great experience for more than 100 gifted athletes.
I’m married, with two awesome kids, ages 13 & 11. We live in the Coventry area with two dogs and a small handful of fish. I grew up in a fairly large family of five kids in Youngstown, Ohio, and currently am the proud Aunt of 10 nieces and nephews! We really enjoy getting all of the kids together as often as possible.
I began running last year with a goal of completing ½ mile without stopping, and just finished my first ½ marathon!
