About (paragraph about you):
In 2003 I hiked the Appalachian Trail and ended up finding a lot of love of the outdoors and physical activity in general. I decided to attend The University of Akron for a degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Management and a minor in Biology. I worked at the recreation center as an outdoor adventure recreation specialist during my studies and fell in love with the recreation sector.
I am married to a great man, Paul, and we have 3 cats and a dog residing with us. We enjoy participating in many activities from triathlons to marathons to long backpacking hikes. I try to challenge myself mentally and physically everyday. I am now blessed to be the Manager Special Events here at recreation center and look forward to the challenges and rewards that this job will bring.
