The Outdoor Adventure Services Program invites you to take a break from the rigors of daily life and experience some of our unique recreational and educational programs. Experience the vertical excitement of the indoor climbing wall, attend one of our hands on instructional clinics, or indulge your adventurous side on an outdoors trip. Through our climbing wall, workshops and clinics, as well as adventure trip programs, we help meet all the adventure needs of the University of Akron community.
The mission of the Outdoor Adventure Program is to provide quality adventure based recreational programs that enhance the academic, recreational and leisure experiences for the University Community.
The purpose of the Outdoor Adventure Program is to provide adventure challenges and outdoor experiences that foster personal growth and wellness.
Who Can Participate
Outdoor Adventure programs are available to University of Akron students, faculty and staff, recreation center members and the local community. Some programming is limited to students only and will be clearly identified in the program description.
Location and Hours
The Outdoor Adventure Services & Intramurals Sports office (OASIS) is located in Room 140 on the first floor of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center. If you go by the elevator just inside the back entrance coming from parking lot #10 on Spicer Street, you can’t miss it!
