Title: Clinical Supervisor
Department: Speech-Lang Path & Audiology
I joined the University of Akron in fall of 2012 as a clinical supervisor at off campus sites and in the University of Akron’s Audiology and Speech Center. I supervise diagnostic and treatment sessions for a variety of clinical needs and severity levels.
Some of the services we can provide to sites off campus include:
-testing and attending meetings for Evaluation Team Reports for students attending the school district or private schools within the district’s responsibility
-providing substitute services for speech-language pathologists’ short and long term absences
-providing home instruction when site staff is not available
This is not an inclusive list. If you feel you may have an area of need that we can fill, please contact me and we can discuss it.
I was previously a school-based speech-language pathologist in a local school district as well as a board of DD school. I supervised students completing their school-based externship and a Clinical Fellowship Year. I have worked with clients who present with articulation delays, language delays/disorders, voice disorders, fluency disorders, phonological processing disorders, phonological awareness difficulties, low incidence populations, Autism, and Augmentative/Alternative Communications.
