Biography

Ms. Palmer joined The University of Akron faculty in 1993.   As an instructor, her courses taught include American Sign Language leveIs I, II, III, and IV, Survey of Deaf Culture in America, and First Responders to the Deaf Community.  She is the Coordinator of the American Sign Language Program, and oversees awarding of the Manual Communication Certificate.  In addition to teaching responsibilities at The University of Akron, Ms. Palmer is also an audiologist and a nationally certified interpreter/transliterator.
