The Upward Bound Regional Math/Science "TRIO" Program is a joint project of The University of Akron and the U.S. Department of Education. The center offers a six-week summer residential program and an academic year program for 58 high school students from the Akron, Ohio school district including Buchtel, Central-Hower, East, Ellet, Firestone, Garfield, Kenmore and North high schools. From mid June through July, students will participate in an unforgettable learning experience focusing on polymers.
