Common Reactions to Sexual Harassment
- I MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO BRING THIS ON.

Your First Step
Talk to one of the caring people who provide the services described on this website.
Talk to Someone
You may wish to contact someone by telephone. Several of the offices listed can be reached on a 24 hour basis. The Rape Crisis Hotline is a good starting point.
You may wish to contact a campus advocate in person. The Vice President for Student Affairs or the Office of Residence Life and Housing are both good starting points.
You may wish to discuss criminal and legal questions first with a person you can trust. The University of Akron Police Department is a good starting point.
You may wish to begin by speaking with a psychologist or counselor. The services of the Counseling, Testing, and Career Center are confidential and free. It would be a good starting point.
The choice is up to you, but the first step is clear.
