Mission Statement: The University of Akron Alternative Spring Break provides humanitarian aid to the afflicted communities of Louisiana and Mississippi in wake of the damage caused by hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike. Our cause is to promote the general welfare of those in need by extending a hand of friendship beyond our local community.
